Welcome to Wonderscapes. This site is dedicated to promoting outdoor education, conservation and outdoor ethics, with emphasis on getting kids outside and in the fresh air.

Initially focused on Scouting, the goal has broadened to a wider audience. I firmly believe that going out and hiking, camping, and interacting with nature is one of the best ways to promote healthy children who will see the need to protect their "play" area. Outdoor play is competing with so many other interesting and entertaining activities like video games, the internet, and TV. Kids (and adults) are becoming so addicted to being connected and wired in that we tend to forget all the great things that nature can teach us.

As the site and outreach expands, I hope everyone will take the time to log off, go outside, and take a walk on the wild side be it forest or field!
